This webinar presented the findings from TCRP Synthesis 99, Uses of Social Media in Public Transportation. The report explores use of social media among transit agencies in the United States and Canada. Research findings were drawn from a literature review, a survey of transportation organizations, and six follow-up case studies.

Report topics include:

  • how transit agencies use social media to engage with customers and community,
  • resource requirements,
  • obstacles encountered,
  • case studies, and
  • lessons learned.
